2016 CHASE Hayne Vineyard Zinfandel

94 pts, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Issue 234 (Lisa Perrotti Brown)Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard has an exuberant nose of crushed plums and black berries with hints of violets, baking spices and mocha. Full-bodied, rich, ripe and vibrantly fruity, it has a great core of freshly crushed black fruits and velvety tannins, finishing long with some black pepper notes coming through. 517 cases were made.

The 2016 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard boasts a rocking bouquet of plums, blueberries, spice, and scorched earth, full-bodied richness, and a deep, concentrated style on the palate. It’s an incredible effort and shows the quality of the 2016 vintage.

2016 CHASE Hayne Vineyard Reserve Zinfandel

95 pts, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Issue 234 (Lisa Perrotti Brown)The 2016 Zinfandel Reserve Hayne Vineyard displays a medium to deep garnet-purple color, giving up notes of crushed red currants, black raspberries and black berries with hints of dried mulberries, forest floor, incense and cloves. Full-bodied, concentrated and offering layers of red, black and blue fruits, the chewy palate is incredibly spicy, finishing with a refreshing herbal lift. 516 cases produced.

2016 BOURN Sarah’s Petite Blend

94 pts, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Issue 234 (Lisa Perrotti Brown)Composed of 75% Petite Sirah and 25% Zinfandel, the 2016 Bourn Sarah’s Petite Blend features crushed black currants and black plums with hints of garrigue, dried herbs and black pepper. This is a full on, full-bodied, petal to the metal wine in the mouth, featuring vibrant black fruit and herbal layers, finishing long and on a refreshing note. 175 cases produced.
94–96 pts, Jeb DunnuckEven better, the 2016 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard Reserve is heavenly stuff and anyone who loves Zin, or good wine for that matter, should do whatever they can to taste this elixir. Blueberries, blackberries, licorice and toasty oak nuances all soar from the glass and this awesome wine has beautiful purity, fine tannin, and an incredible opulence paired with an elegance that’s just about off the charts. It’s going to keep for two decades.

2016 BOURN Petite Sirah

94 pts, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Issue 234 (Lisa Perrotti Brown)The 2016 Petite Sirah Barberis Vineyard sports a very deep purple-black color and nose of black tar, licorice and fertile loam over a core of baked blackberries and black plum preserves plus a waft of bouquet garni. Full-bodied and jam packed with black fruits and earthy flavor layers, it has a firm, chewy backbone and a long, anise-laced finish. 192 cases were made.

2016 BOURN Gold Strike

96+ pts, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Issue 234 (Lisa Perrotti Brown)A blend of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah and Syrah, the 2016 Bourn Gold Strike is very deep purple-black with notions of violets, black currants, black cherries and dried herbs with a waft of earth. Full-bodied, firm and finely crafted, it has a supercharged palate of perfumed black fruits with pleasantly chewy tannins plus an epic finish. 105 cases were made.

2015 CHASE Hayne Vineyard Zinfandel

94 pts, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Issue 234 (Lisa Perrotti Brown) Very deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard is redolent of crushed black cherries, plum preserves and blueberry pie with hints of chocolate box, Indian spices and cardamom plus touches of dried herbs and prunes. Full-bodied and laden with black fruit preserves and spice cake flavors, it has approachable, chewy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and spicy. 690 cases were made.
95 pts, Jeb DunnuckMoving to the 2015s, these are also brilliant wines. The 2015 Zinfandel Hayne Vineyard is a huge fruit bomb that offers full-bodied, ripe, sexy, yet pure notes of blueberries, violets, mint, and incense. Like all the wines here, it has terrific purity, balance, and class.
